3 Clothing Brands with Strong Instagram Game

Upon downloading Instagram in 2012, I mostly followed friends and family as many of us did. However, the use of social media has shifted greatly over the years and it has now become one of the top ways for companies to showcase their brands.

It is interesting to see how Instagram has changed over the years. As the new age of social media continues to grow, one thing I love keeping up with online is my favorite clothing brands!

Instagram is where I have found inspiration for almost all the clothing and outfits I own, so I wanted to share my top 3 clothing brands I enjoy following (in no particular order)!

Madewell

Madewell is a clothing brand known for their chic and sustainable clothing items. With their Do Well campaign, Madewell is actively working towards improving DEI efforts within their workplace, as well as focusing on minimizing their carbon footprint in the sourcing and manufacturing of their products.

Madewell uses their social media platforms as a way to voice their opinion and take a stand against social issues.

Upon first glance of their Instagram page, you can see that they are very active by posting frequently and interacting with consumers. This is key to building a strong brand and social media presence.

I have been a fan of Madewell for many years, not only because of their mission and values but also because of their products and how they market themselves on social media!

*Side note: invest in Madewell jeans!!! You will not regret it!*

My favorite feature on Madewell’s Instagram is their “style tips” highlight. It is an easy outlet to draw inspiration from to make outfits out of your own closet!

Free People

Free People has been one of my favorite clothing brands for quite some time.

I love their overall aesthetic that includes 70s/boho inspired looks, but incorporates modern styles and statement pieces as well.

The variety of items they offer allows every consumer to find their style and feel comfortable in their own skin!

Free People is one of my favorite brands to follow on Instagram for many reasons. I love seeing different outfits they showcase and learning about new things they have in store.

My favorite feature of Free People’s Instagram is their use of Reels! I am not usually one to watch Reels on Instagram, but in my opinion, Free People uses this feature perfectly.

They use Reels to highlight their FP Movement collection – a line of workout clothes that inspire people to get active and celebrate their bodies. They also utilize this feature as a way to showcase their items; providing styling tips and showing how certain items can be worn.

Lazy Oaf

Lazy Oaf is a brand I more recently started following. They are a London based company that offers a variety of lifestyle products and clothing for all genders.

Something that caught my eye when I discovered this brand was their vibrant colors and patterns.

They are unique in their marketing and advertising efforts as well. They have a variety of highlights, reels, and IGTV content on their page.

My favorite thing about Lazy Oaf’s Instagram is their overall aesthetic. I love the vivid colors and unique outfits that showcase who they truly are as a brand! Their feed is evidently carefully curated with strong captions and eye-catching photos.

I also enjoy their use of the stories feature! Similar to Madewell, they also have a styling highlight. However, this is relatively new to their page and Lazy Oaf reposts looks from their consumers and various influencers!

This is a great way to engage customers with your brand, and it gives users an incentive to share your products.

I hope you all enjoyed this week’s post about my favorite clothing brands on Instagram! What are your favorite brands to follow?
